is used
as the
decimal sign as shown below.

France, Germany, a comma [,] is
used as shown below.

Those
are international
standards for mechanical and electrical respectively.
Then
when products are produced and exported in accordance with ISO/IEC,
the decimal
sign used in the drawing or at the name plate attached on the
products
must
be a comma.

But, there is the following problem
and still a room for amendment,
because almost 70 % of the world
population of six billion people who live
in
not only Japan or U.S.A., but also China, U.K., Australia, India,
English
speaking area in Canada and so on use a period as the decimal
sign.
There
are English version and French version in ISO/IEC
use
comma even at the English version of the international standard in such
native
English speaking countries as shown the above, though French version
shall
be left as it is for European continental countries.
